Fancy training your horse or pony to drive?

We have had many years of experience and a great deal of fun breaking in horses and ponies to drive. We don't go in for competition in this area - we just like to enjoy ourselves by giving our horses another job to do.  However, in the pictures you can see Ben's Pony 'Pepper' winning his class in the expert hands of Emma Burton.

        

It all started when our ponies became to small for their riders and so we retrained them to pull a trap. It's a great way to enjoy a day out with a friend (or even two depending on the size of your cart!). the horses love it too! What better way to pass a summer afternoon than ambling down to the pub, having a drink in the sunshine and returning back in the same style! Of course - if you want to go into competition then that is a real growth sport area and we will be happy to start you off and pass you on to other people who will help you progress.

We occasionally get second-hand carts looking for new owners so don't be put off because you haven't got the kit - and we can supply al the tack probably much cheaper than anywhere else you might be able to find - try us. See our classifieds!
